The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association (MDPPA)—the association of motorcycle manufacturers in the Philippines—has now inducted a new set of officers and committee heads for 2024.
After an eventful and successful three years at the association’s helm, Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines’ Norminio ‘Boying’ Mojica has now turned over the reins to Kawasaki Motors Philippines’ Alexander Cumpas, the new MDPPA president.

Mojica will continue as an MDPPA officer, this time as the new auditor. Joining them are Honda Philippines’ (HPI) Erwin Estrada as vice president and Yamaha Motor Philippines’ (YMPH) Gilbert Bilagantol as treasurer.

As for the committee chairpersons, they are namely: YMPH’s Toni Boi Acuesta for marketing, Kawasaki’s Michael Lopez for road safety, HPI’s Andrew Angeles for technical, and Suzuki’s Lissete Fajardo for government.
“The theme for the Induction ‘Moving forward beyond the current challenges’ is not only a rallying cry but an apt description of what will ignite us to more action. It sparks our fire to continue delivering the results despite the current challenges and post-pandemic economic uncertainties,” said Cumpas. “‘Rising above and beyond’ was our previous battle cry, which we did so with flying colors by the previous board and all its committees, through the leadership of Pres. Mojica.”
Congratulations to the newly elected officers and committee chairpersons!
