After seven years in production, the second-generation, three-door Mini hatchback will make way for its successor later this year--on November 18, to be exact, 107 years to the day since the birth of the original Mini\'s developer, Alec Issigonis.

After holding the all-new Mini\'s launch at the British carmaker\'s Oxford plant in the United Kingdom, the car will then be launched globally on November 20 at the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan, followed hours later by the Los Angeles Motor Show in the US.

According to Mini, the car will continue to be produced at the Oxford plant and will go on sale \"in the first quarter of 2014.\"
