To kick off 2025, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) added nine new vehicles to improve passenger support and ground operations around its four terminals. In 2024, over 50 million passengers flew in and out of NAIA, cementing a new record for the Philippines’ flagship airport.
Those 50-million passengers also marked a 10.43% increase in travelers compared to 2023. And with 2025 expected to be another big year, NAIA, now operating under New NAIA Infra Corporation (NNIC), is taking all measures to ensure that every passenger is taken care of and receives a smooth traveling experience.

Leading the fleet are four coasters that should efficiently and comfortably transport travelers between terminals. This will be also be a helpful service for travelers with special needs in mobility.
Two new ambulances have also been added to the fleet, to quickly aid passengers with medical emergencies. NAIA will also be enlisting trained medical personal to operate the ambulances and attend to passengers in need.

Rounding out NAIA’s improved fleet are three Toyota Hilux pickups that are designated as ‘follow-me’ vehicles. These should help guide airplanes slot into designated parking spaces, while helping departing aircrafts taxi at an efficient, but safe pace.
The addition of these vehicles are part of NNIC’s immediate improvement plans for NAIA. Other immediate plans include updated restrooms, improved internet connectivitiy, and better baggage handling. NNIC also plans to create a direct link from NAIA Terminal 3 to the Skyway system within the next two to three years.
