Momentum from previous fuel-price jumps are set to continue into the second week of April.
For April 7 to 13, 2026, gasoline prices will increase by up to P5.90 per liter. Diesel prices will leap by up to P19.80 per liter. Kerosene will climb by up to P9.10 per liter.
Jetti and Unioil have emerged as outliers in this week’s price hikes. Jetti announced that they will only implement their price hikes on Friday, April 10th, in order to provide a buffer period for motorists. Meanwhile, Unioil is choosing to increase their gasoline prices prices by P1.50— significantly lower than other fuel players.

Despite Iran’s commitment to “safe and preferential” passage for Philippine-bound vessels on April 2, this has not translated to lower prices at the pump as many had hoped. Speaking on this diplomatic agreement on her social media account, Department of Energy secretary Sharon Garin implores Filipinos to manage expectations on its effect on fuel prices.
Garin instead highlights that this commitment helps secure some fuel supply bound for the country, and protects the well-being of Filipino seafarers crewing vessels in the region: “This development will not immediately bring down fuel prices, nor does it resolve our long-term structural challenges in energy. [...] But what this does is help ensure continuity of supply and stability, especially at a time when further disruptions could significantly affect our economy and our people.”
Gasoline and diesel prices have practically double and tripled respectively since the start of the year. Motorists continue to conserve fuel as much as possible, but an increasing number have expressed interest to make the switch to partial or full electrification.
