Every parent wants to give their child the best possible options and opportunities for their future. It's a sentiment that Prestone Philippines shares, which is why the brand recently honored the nine recipients of its Anak ng Mekaniko scholarship program.
In line with its 90th anniversary last year, Prestone launched the program to give back to its loyal mechanic customers. A search was held nationwide to find deserving children of mechanics who yearned for a college education. Each entrant sbmitted an essay explaining why they were proud to be the child of a mechanic. The students chosen came from as far as Davao and Misamis Oriental to attend the ceremony in Manila. Each one gets to pick the course of their choice in any STI College campus nationwide.
"For parents, education is the best gift they can give to their children and Prestone resonates with this message," said Prestone brand manager Monique Gonzales. "We hope that in the future, these nine deserving scholars will become successful individuals in their chosen endeavors."
She adds: "As we officially present the grant to them, Prestone's commitment to supporting them is only the beginning. We will still continue to be there to help them every step of the way as they embark on this new chapter of their lives."
To the scholars, we wish you the best of luck on your journeys. We're sure the special mechanics in your lives are very proud.
