Local car distributor UAAGI Auto Group has changed the name of Radar Auto Philippines to Riddara Auto Philippines. The rebrand aligns with Radar’s global identity, where it’s known as Riddara in export markets outside of China.

For those who don’t know, Riddara is an electric pickup sub-brand of Geely. But unlike Geely, whose distribution in the Philippines is under its owners, Riddara is handled by UAAGI, which also distributes BAIC, Chery, Foton, and Jetour.

Riddara first entered the local market in 2025 as Radar, where it launched the RD6 EV pickup. The unibody pickup truck is available as a full EV called the RD6 Econ, and as a plug-in hybrid named the RD6 EM-P. The Econ is equipped with 2WD and 4WD variants, while the EM-P is exclusively available in 4WD. While both have interesting lifestyle features like vehicle-to-load capability, the 2WD RD6 Econ comes with two long-bed variants—ideal for hauling lengthy items.

UAAGI says that customer care and services for RD6 owners won’t be interrupted. The company gave assurance that all owner and vehicle records will carry over unchanged, with after-sales, warranty, parts, and dealer support remaining in place.

“Our customers chose this EV pickup for the outstanding value and performance it delivers, and that remains unchanged,” says UAAGI Auto Group chairman Rommel Sytin. “Adopting the Riddara name aligns our Philippine operations with the brand’s global identity and reinforces our commitment to the strength, technology, and innovation behind it. This marks a defining step forward for the brand’s development, further strengthening its global presence and setting the stage for its next phase of growth in the Philippine market.”
