The Philippine automotive industry could sell as many as 235,000 brand-new cars in 2014, Toyota Motor Philippines president Michinobu Sugata told TopGear.com.ph during the media presentation of the minor-change Lexus GX460 in Alabang earlier this week. The executive also added that the industry looks to finish the current year with a total of 210,000 units.
Gray-market and Chinese-made cars are not included in the above numbers.
As for Toyota, which is the best-selling car brand in the country, Sugata projects total sales of 75,000 units this year, up 15% from the company\'s sales performance (65,396 units) in 2012.
Looks like the local automotive business is going strong in the years to come. But can our road development keep up? Take our poll below.
