As part of his prize

UAAP basketball MVP awardee Kiefer Ravena

You may have heard that Ateneo de Manila University star player Kiefer Ravena won the MVP award in the men's basketball tournament of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines' 77th season. For this feat, Ravena received P20,000 in cash from Mazda Philippines. Not a bad reward for doing something you love in the first place.

But that's not all the Ateneo point guard won with his MVP trophy.

According to Mazda Philippines (aka Berjaya Auto Philippines) marketing manager Ralph Garcia, Ravena also took home with him the privilege to use a Mazda 3 for four months. When Garcia spoke to TopGear.com.ph over the weekend, he said Ravena hadn't decided yet whether to get a sedan or a hatchback. The four-month drive, according to Garcia, will begin on December 1, which means Ravena will use the car until March 31, 2015.

We're not sure if Ravena is still a brand ambassador for Suzuki. We're assuming the contract has ended, because if not, seeing Ravena behind the wheel of the Mazda 3 would be a little awkward.
