You can buy a Merc S-Class for P3 million at this upcoming event

CATS Motors will hold a pre-owned sale
by Dinzo Tabamo | Aug 8, 2016

Everyone knows that luxury cars suffer the biggest hit when it comes to depreciation. There are actually people who wait for first owners to offload, and eagerly snap up heavily discounted second-hand premium models once the latter do so.

What if you could browse, test drive, and, (if the missus approves) purchase that Mercedes-Benz or Chrysler you’ve been eyeing, all in one venue? This is what will happen at the CATS Motors Pre-Owned Clearance Sale from August 19 to 21, 2016. The official distributor of these brands will display cars with—and we’ll use its own words at this point—incredibly marked-down price tags.

How big are the discounts? We were able to get the pricing of two vehicles that will be on offer: A 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class with just 22,000km on the odometer will sell for P3 million; while a 2015 Chrysler 300C that has traveled a measly 1,000km will go for P2.45 million. We confess we’re not 100% knowledgeable with second-hand market prices, but those look like good deals to us.

“This clearance sale is in celebration of Mercedes-Benz’s 130th and Jeep’s 75th anniversary,” said Rene G. Nuñez, CATS Motors president. “On this rare occasion, we are putting up for a special sale our best and most popular pre-owned Mercedes-Benz and Jeep vehicles.”

The units will be displayed in Bonifacio High Street, along 9th avenue to be exact, during the duration of the sale. Suffice to say, if you’re in the market for something upscale right now, you know where to go on the third weekend of August.
