Both Nissan Motor Philippines and Universal Motors Corporation inaugurated the opening of the new Nissan North Edsa showroom yesterday. The seventh and largest Nissan showroom of the Tetra Group (the same company behind Nissan Southwoods and Nissan Westgate Alabang, among others), it sits on a 5,000sqm lot in Balintawak, Quezon City, and has 21 work bays for its service workshop and a parking bay that can accommodate as many as 10 units simultaneously.
While attending the inauguration, we noticed one mural on the wall that featured the Cars-like caricatures of UMC’s products with names like "Ron Patrol Royale" and "Ivan Estate." What came as a surprise was one drawing identified simply as "Jeff Juke."
So, is UMC really bringing in the Juke soon? Judging by its presence in the mural--and the way Jeff Juke was winking at us--it certainly seems that way. Not to mention that rumors of the Juke's arrival were first heard in June.
UMC is the local Nissan distributor that handles the sales and distribution of the Japanese carmaker's light commercial vehicles in the country.
