Nissan Juke

A reliable source within the auto industry has given a tip that Universal Motors Corporation, the Philippine distributor of Nissan commercial vehicles (Navara, Urvan, Patrol Super Safari, Patrol Royale and Murano), is already making preparations for the launch of the Nissan Juke. According to our source, UMC could even display a unit of the car at the upcoming Philippine International Motor Show in August.

When asked for confirmation, UMC’s assistant vice president for marketing and sales, Honeymae Limjap, refused to comment--neither confirming nor denying whether the Juke will indeed be sold in our market soon.

The Juke is Nissan’s unconventionally styled crossover SUV that was launched in selected markets worldwide in 2010. This vehicle might just be what UMC needs to inject some youthful vigor into its product lineup.

Will the Juke’s love-it-or-hate-it styling be embraced by our motoring public? Feel free to leave your comments below.
