Lexus has brought to the ASEAN region the IS300h--the hybrid variant of its entry-level compact car--right after its European (and global) debut at the recent Geneva Motor Show. The car is now on display at the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show.
A 2.5-liter, four-cylinder Atkinson cycle gasoline engine, and a powerful electric motor power the IS300h through the rear wheels. Helping to keep the car environment-friendly are its D-4S fuel-injection system, dual VVT-i, and highly efficient exhaust gas recirculation system. This gives it a carbon-dioxide emission of below 100g/km, and an average fuel consumption of 23.256km/L.
While we have yet to find out if the IS300h will be sold in the Philippines, you might want to know that it goes for 3.49 million baht (P4,887,000) in Thailand for the Premium variant, and 2.99 million baht (P4,187,000) for the Luxury variant.
