Mazda Philippines has freshened up its product line with the introduction of two crossover sport-utility vehicles (SUV)--the new Mazda CX-7 and the revised Mazda CX-9.

Up front, the new Mazda fascia is hard to miss as it sits on the CX-7's large five-point grille and black mesh linings. The SUV sports a roof spoiler and the tapered rear side windows, giving the CX-7 an athletic rear haunch. Complementing the Mazda CX-7's sporty exterior is an interior that evokes nothing but class. The center panel's dark grey metallic finish conveys a sense of composed refinement while the sliding and reclining leather seats give it a stylish atmosphere.

With an MZR 2.5-liter engine capable of putting out 161hp and 205Nm of torque on tap paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, the CX-7 assures sporty handling and superb driving performance. Couple this with a 2,750mm wheelbase and the all-new CX-7 gives passengers a higher level of athleticism.

The Mazda CX-7 comes with dual front, side, and curtain airbags for driver and passenger safety. It is also equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), DSC (Dynamic Control Stability), and TCS (Traction Control System) that automatically reduces driveline torque to help restore traction. Security features include remote keyless entry and burglar alarm system for the Mazda CX-7 owner's peace of mind.

"It is a perfect example of a sport crossover SUV that has all the functions of an all-wheel drive SUV with its comfort, dynamic performance, sporty handling and stylish finish," said Steven Tan, Mazda Philippines vice president for marketing and sales.

Meanwhile, Mazda has refreshed the CX-9 (P2.899 million) with a facelift that starts with an elegantly sculpted five-point grille which again carries the new Mazda fascia. Complementing it are combination lamps and fog lamps in front as well as the dual chrome exhaust pipes and garnish at the rear.
