The EDSA Busway Rehabilitation Project is underway, with the renovation of four existing stations and the construction of three new stations. According to the Department of Transportation, all works are expected to be completed around the second and third quarters of 2026.
The first phase of the project will comprise the renovations, specifically on the Monumento, Bagong Barrio, North Avenue, and Guadalupe busway stations. Earlier this month, the DOTr released renders of what the North Avenue Station would look like after renovations, and similar designs are expected to be adopted on the other stations. Generally, the rehabilitated stations should have wider and cleaner platforms with better signage and dedicated outposts for station personnel.

The second and final phase will see the construction of three additional stations, with two stops at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) and a new stop in Cubao. With these new stations, the EDSA Busway will have a total of 24 stops by 2026.

From the outline of the project, it looks like the incoming SM Megamall Busway Station and Concourse are not part of the major rehabilitation efforts. Like the SM North EDSA Concourse that opened earlier this year, this new structure will link SM Megamall to the EDSA-Ortigas Busway Station to give commuters a safer and more convenient commute.
That project is expected to finish in October later this year, and a rerouting plan is in effect to help motorists avoid the construction and subsequent traffic.
