If you’re renewing your car’s registration this year, you should know that there are certain guidelines you need to follow. Chief among them, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) reiterates, is the display of an improvised license plate in lieu of the actual one.
The backlog of official license plates has been a problem for the government organization for some time. Last year, the LTO began distributing overdue plates from 2016. New cars registered since then have plates already. But some of the older registrations still don't.
