If you’re on Facebook regularly, then you might have seen this viral video of a ‘birthday hulidap prank.’ It’s basically a hold-up prank on a supposed birthday celebrant that was in a ride-hailing car, and it’s been making the rounds on the Internet.
Unfortunately, it’s found its way to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), and suffice it to say that the agency is not amused. LTO chief Markus Lacanilao has now issued a subpoena against the registered owner of the vehicle.
The LTO has determined through the video that the staged holdap involved the participation of the taxi driver. The agency reiterated that these types of pranks should not involve public transport vehicles and should also not be conducted in public spaces wherein the said prank could cause alarm. As for the content creators behind the video, the LTO didn’t have any comments.
