The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) made it clear during the start of the year that number coding will still be suspended around the metro until further notice. And according to the agency’s latest advisory (which you can see below), this will also be the case during this modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) period.
Now, there’s one question that’s almost always raised whenever the MMDA makes any coding-related announcements: “What about Makati?” Well, at least for this MECQ period, the city’s local government has made it clear that coding will also be lifted under its jurisdiction.
Of course, we shouldn’t be going out anyway, but we’re sharing this information for all authorized persons outside of residence (APORs) that need to be out and about even during MECQ. You can check out the official announcement below:
No dates were specified in the announcement, so we’re guessing the coding suspension will continue in case MECQ is extended or ECQ is reimposed. You can check back in on this space in a couple of weeks for more details. For now, you can also read about the full ECQ guidelines on public transport that still apply during MECQ. Stay safe out there, people.
