The local government of Manila City has released a list of roads within its jurisdiction where street parking is either strictly prohibited or permitted during certain hours. This is in line with MMDA Regulation No. 25-001, the Metro Manila Council’s new issuance that aims to regulate illegal street parking on the capital region’s roads.
‘Absolute no-parking zones’ are the areas where a total street parking ban is implemented, while at ‘no-parking zones,’ street parking will be allowed during off-peak hours. According to the MMC and MMDA’s regulation, street parking is prohibited on national secondary roads from 7am to 10am and from 5pm to 8pm. This follows the MMDA’s number coding hours.
