Marcos Bridge to close down for renovation starting May 11, 2019

“The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that the scheduled closure and renovation of the eastbound portion of Marcos Bridge has been rescheduled from May 4 to May 11, 2019. The entire project is estimated to take eight months to complete.

“Following its announcement last Tuesday, the MMDA proceeded to conduct an ocular inspection, which exposed the lack of preparedness of the private contractor set to take on the project. The absence of signage, traffic lights, and new intersections to ease the potential traffic buildup forced the MMDA to push back the start date of construction.”

Pets are now allowed inside PUVs, following certain provisions

“Great news for pet owners: The Philippine Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has announced that pets are now allowed in public modes of transportation.”

“The measure is part of the company’s ‘Better Everyday’ campaign and is effective starting today. The P50 fee will apply to riders who cancel their bookings after five minutes from being assigned a Grab driver, or riders who are a no-show within five minutes (three minutes for GrabShare rides) of the driver reaching the pick-up point.
