The Quezon Avenue Station of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) has been given a refresh through a series of renovations over the Holy Week break. In fact, all Metro Manila train systems, including the LRT-1, the LRT-2, and the rest of the MRT-3, were closed during the long weekend to give way to train maintenance and refurbishments.
Commuters should expect cleaner stations and trains now that all lines are back in full operation. While we only have photos of the Quezon Avenue Station, the rest of the MRT-3 should look similar.
At the entry points of the station, the relatively new GCash turnstile and improved metal detectors are still in place. Those passing through will notice the new signage, which has been redone in a black finish with yellow accents and white lettering.

At the exits, the improved signage has reversed the color scheme, which should help with visual navigation. Throughout the rest of the station and on the platform are new tactile paving to help commuters with visual impairments navigate the building. The platform also features clearer directions and markers for boarding passengers, and what should be an improved sound system.
Perhaps the best of all improvements is the clean-looking restrooms. There appear to be new hand dryers as well as a row of pristine urinals and sinks. While we’re not sure if these are totally brand-new, a thorough wash would’ve still done the trick.
