Remember the NLEX Harbor Link tollway that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) partially opened to the public last February? A new section of the said infrastructure project is now starting to take shape.

The NLEX Corporation has uploaded on Facebook a progress update on Section C3-R10 of the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10. Check out the official post and the accompanying video below:

This particular section of the NLEX Harbor Link is a 2.6km stretch beginning from C3 Road (C3) in Caloocan City extending to Radial Road 10 (R10) in Navotas City. It will also be linked to the previously opened Segment 10, which connects the cities of Valenzuela, Malabon, and Caloocan.

According to the footage above, 30 out of 115 crossheads and 60 girders along Section C3-R10 have already been launched. There are also 146 out of 205 bored piles that have been installed, along with 120 out of 202 columns constructed. The project is set to be finished by December 2019.

Once construction is completed, this new thoroughfare will provide direct access between R10 and NLEX, and is expected to help decongest traffic in the surrounding areas. Will you be using this new expressway once it opens to the public?
