Construction is now underway for the new Lingunan southbound entry ramp of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX). The 491-meter entry ramp into Barangay Lingunan should help decongest Valenzuela City’s local roads upon its scheduled completion in April 2025.
“We recognize that Valenzuela is a rapidly developing city. The construction of the new southbound entry will strengthen it as a growing industrial and commercial center,” said Arrey Perez, president and COO of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC). “We in MPTC and NLEX want to help harness that economic potential.”

After being closed to traffic for one month to make way for the entry ramp’s construction, the NLEX Lingunan southbound exit was reopened on February 10.
Once fully operational, the NLEX Lingunan southbound entry ramp will serve as an alternative entry point to the Paso de Blas Interchange. Specifically, it will help reduce traffic congestion in Lawang Bato, Punturin, Maysan, Paso de Blas, and East Service Road.
