In case you’re heading north for the long weekend, take note: NLEX Corporation has scheduled repairs for the north- and westbound lanes of Marilao Bridge on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
Repairs on the northbound road under the bridge will occupy the middle (or third) lane, starting at 9pm on June 7 until around 9am of the following day.

The more extensive work will take place on the bridge’s westbound lane going toward MacArthur Highway, as NLEX Corporation expects to complete the repairs on June 25, 2025. A stop-and-go scheme will be implemented throughout the project to regulate traffic flow.

NLEX has yet to issue a full advisory for this safety repair project, which suggests that traffic may not be greatly affected. However, the tollway operator did mention that a counterflow lane may open if “road conditions allow.” Which likely means worsening traffic buildup.
It may be wiser to completely circumvent the closed lanes and repairs by taking routes that avoid the NLEX Marilao entry and exit, especially with the influx of long weekend travelers.
Don’t forget to check your Easytrip RFID balance before driving out this weekend. Top-ups and RFID installation appointments can be done on the MPT DriveHub app. New or replacement RFID sticker installation is completely free and can be completed in various Easytrip booths across Metro Manila.
