Last year, Metro Pacific Tollways (MPTC) implemented a toll fee increase for the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), increasing end-to-end travel costs by at least P33. Now, the tollway operator is making similar adjustments yet again.
The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has just approved the toll fee hike that will take effect on June 4, 2024. After the changes, motorists using the open system—Balintawak to Marilao—will have to pay an additional P5 for Class 1, P14 for Class 2, and P17 for Class 3 vehicles.

This already covers the closed system portion of the expressway which spans from Bocaue, Bulacan, and Sta. Ines, Mabalacat City, and Pampanga including Subic-Tipo.
