The eGovPH app now has a complete, end-to-end online driver’s license renewal system. Launched by the Department of Transportation, Land Transportation Office, and the Department of Information and Communications Technology, the online system should be more accessible as it eliminates the need to go to a physical office.
All five steps, including medical exams, photo-taking, and payment, can be facilitated through the app. Drivers can then pick up their license at their nearest LTO center or have it delivered to their home address.

At the launch event, the DICT also clarified that the app can also generate a digital license, or an eDL, in case plastic cards are not available.
