This new route should also work alongside the existing Legazpi-Naga line to serve more commuters in southern Luzon. That particular route deploys one daily trip between the two major cities, with the train leaving Legazpi at 4:30am and the return trip from Naga departing at 5:30pm.

In July, the PNR reopened its Calamba-Lucena route; however, the train operator has not commented on the condition and future of the Lucena-Sipocot line. If operational, that would create a direct link between the Laguna, Quezon, Albay, and Camarines Sur provinces.
