After clearing an 11-year license plate backlog in June, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) began employing various methods to distribute over 18 million new plates to vehicle owners. Key among these initiatives is the LTO Plate Distribution Caravan, which has been deployed to several commercial centers and local government offices all over the country.
For the rest of August and select dates in September, the caravan will be visiting several Robinsons malls to distribute plates for motorcycles purchased from 2014 to 2017.
To claim their plates, owners will need to present their original official receipt and certificate of registration, along with photocopies of the two documents. A valid ID is also a requirement, and if the vehicle is not registered under the current owner’s name, the Deed of Sale must be presented as well.
