As many of you may probably know, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and San Miguel Corporation (SMC) have partially opened Skyway Stage 3 earlier today. What many of you might not know, however, is which parts of the new elevated tollway has actually opened.
Well, to be exact, there are seven ramps of Skyway Stage 3 that have already been opened. To give you a better look, we’ve listed them down below. Take note that all on-ramps are entry points and all off-ramps are exit points. Look:
Skyway Stage 3 Northbound:
- Buendia on-ramp
- Quezon Avenue on-ramp
- Balintawak off-ramp
Skyway Stage 3 Southbound:
- Buendia off-ramp
- Plaza Dilao on-ramp
- Quezon Avenue off-ramp
- Balintawak on-ramp
This new 18-kilometer portion of the tollway connects the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Makati to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Balintawak. It is scheduled for completion in the coming weeks and is expected to be fully operational come January 14, 2021. SMC has confirmed that passage through this segment will be free for a month, but no word yet on how much toll fees will be once it officially opens.
What say you, motorists? Have you tried using the new Skyway Stage 3 yet? If you have, tell us about your experience in the comments.
