Unless you've been on a social media diet the past few days, you'll know that the country is bracing for another typhoon--potentially the strongest one to hit us in 2018. Ompong is already within the Philippine area of responsibility, and Northern provinces are expected to take on the full brunt of its wrath soon.
To help its customers cope with Ompong, SM Supermalls has announced via social media that a handful of its establishments will be waiving its overnight parking charges beginning today, September 14. If you're still looking for a safe place to store your ride during the storm, take note of the following locations:
1) SM Megacenter Cabanatuan
2) SM City Tarlac
3) SM City Cabanatuan
4) SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown
"In times of calamities, our malls offer temporary respite and a meeting point for families who may be unable to get to their place of residence," the company says in a Facebook post. "In the areas where severe flooding is expected, we provide parking spaces for the residents. Overnight charges are waived."
You can check out the company's entire post below. We know the abovementioned list of malls is short, but SM did say to check its Facebook page for further updates, so maybe there's a chance more locations will be added. Stay safe this weekend, guys.
