Sneak peek! See what the new-design LTO license plates look like

So, over the weekend, the Department of Transportation and Communications announced that the new-design license plates would be released by the Land Transportation Office beginning in late April this year. Yesterday, we got this photo from reader Gene Lawrence Borja. "Sneak peek!" he said. (We saw it just now, buried in the pile of messages in our Facebook inbox.)

As the approved supplier (PPI-JKG Philippines) starts the production of the new license plates, now would be a good time to see what they actually look like. We like them, to be honest. Simpler, clearer, more businesslike.
