In July, shortly after the launch of the all-new Toyota Vios, we posted on our Facebook page a photo of the subcompact sedan that had been retouched by one of our readers to make it look like a unit of one of Metro Manila\'s largest taxi companies.

Well, the truth isn’t that far from fiction after all. A source who\'s connected with MGE Transport told TopGear.com.ph that the company has already ordered 100 units of the base Vios variant to beef up its current fleet.

Don’t be surprised then if you see commuters snubbing older taxi models only to flag down a third-generation Vios taxi owned by MGE Transport. Heck, we wouldn\'t even be surprised if people started posting selfies of themselves in the all-new Vios taxi.
