It’s that time of the year again for the City of Manila as the Feast of the Black Nazarene approaches. But of course, things will be far different from the usual this time around due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Quiapo Church will still be hosting the festivities this weekend, but the Traslacion—the grand procession of the Black Nazarene—has been canceled for 2021. Because devotees are still expected to visit the church, however, there will be certain road closures and rerouting around the Quiapo district, so motorists who reside in or will be passing through the area on January 8 and 9 should take note.
