The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has announced that a truck ban will be imposed on the North Luzon Expressway--from Balintawak to Angeles City, and vice versa--from July 26 to 28 to give way to the Iglesia ni Cristo centennial celebration, which will be held in Bulacan.
According to the announcment, all trucks for hire will not be allowed to pass through NLEX. In addition, the truck ban will also be in effect on the aforementioned dates on MacArthur Highway, Cagayan Valley Road (from the Santa Rita exit), "and all provincial roads in Bulacan that will be used as parking areas."
The MMDA also advised that trucks carrying perishable goods and food items "are exempted from the ban."
