It probably goes without saying that you shouldn’t be making plans to drive out right now. Typhoon Ulysses is currently battering the Philippines, leaving roads flooded, rivers overflowing, and water levels at several dams on the brink of spilling over.

On the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), the typhoon has left the following toll plazas completely impassable to all types of vehicles:

  1. Tambobong
  2. Bocaue
  3. Santa Rita entry
  4. Tabang Southbound entry
  5. Balagtas Southbound entry
  6. Marilao Northbound

This list is updated as of 9am today. About an hour ago, NLEX management also announced that the following sections of the expressway are not passable as well:

  1. Bocaue River Bridge Northbound and Southbound
  2. Sta Rita Southbound
  3. Balagtas Southbound
  4. Tabang Southbound

Management is advising all northbound motorists to make a U-turn before Bocaue Interchange, while those heading southbound are being told to make a U-turn before Petron Bocaue. All RFID installation sites are also closed until further notice.
