Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC) has just launched the 1-Series M Coupe and we've learned that BMW's allotment for the Philippine market is already sold out.
According to Glen Dasig, ACC's executive director for sales and marketing, BMW allocated only eight units of the 1-Series M Coupe for the Philippine market and that each one has been spoken for.
"As a matter of fact, two orders were placed today, with one customer even making a non-refundable deposit," Dasig revealed during the launch of the 1-Series M Coupe and the 6-Series Convertible at the opening of the BMW Xpo at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City on July 29.
He added that the first two 1-Series M Coupe units that arrived in July were already pre-sold. Six units are due to arrive in September and October.
"We've received so many inquiries about the 1-Series M Coupe but the car is so popular around the world that we're hoping BMW would increase its allotment for the Philippines," Dasig added wistfully.
If you want to get your hands on the 1-Series M Coupe, you can either start praying to the automotive gods for a miracle that will make BMW send more units to the Philippine market or you can make one of the eight owners an offer they can't refuse. After all, BMW will reportedly cease producing the 1-Series M Coupe after December 2011.
