Oil companies jacked up pump prices by P2 following the rise of crude prices in the global market.
The P2 hike was implemented on the prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene products.
Pilipinas Shell was the first to carry out the price increase at 12:01 on Tuesday, followed by Chevron Philippines and Petron at 6 a.m.
Independent oil players like Total and Seaoil also raised oil prices.
Shell spokesperson Roberto Kanapi said "actual retail prices may vary across locations depending on the market" to address confusion regarding the differences in the selling price of oil in stations nationwide.
