
Every December 18, Qatar celebrates its National Day to commemorate its unification and independence. The most recent one, however, should be a memorable one for Porschephiles as the oil-rich country paraded the Porsches that are part of its police's fleet.
Although we didn't see a 911 Turbo or GT3 in the parade, the country does seem to have a lot of Panameras and Cayennes.
The Qatar's affinity for Porsches, however, isn't strange. Government unit Qatar Investment Authority, owns 10 percent of Porsche as well as 17 percent of Volkswagen.
