The Isuzu D-Max is a back-t0-back Philippine Rallycross Series (PRS) champion after winning the 2024 season. Isuzu Philippines (IPC) and its prized truck competed in the UV and Pickup classes, clearing both to win the overall championship.

Behind the wheel was Louie Camacho, a back-to-back champion himself. At the PRS, Camacho was crowned Rally Driver of the Year for the second consecutive season, and he is set to win an equivalent award from Automobile Association Philippines (AAP). 2024 also saw Camacho and the Isuzu D-Max compete in the Philippine National Rally Championship, where Camacho won the 2024 Rally Master Champion award.

Apart from the off-road tires and blue livery, Camacho’s D-Max does not look too different from a stock D-Max you would find on the road. That’s because Camacho and IPC both understand and believe in the capabilities of the Isuzu D-Max.

The driver commended the engineering and toughness of his vehicle: “Me and my team are very much impressed with the performance of the Isuzu D-MAX; we have been using it for two straight years without having to go through any major repairs—it just shows how durable the engineering is. It can withstand harsh conditions and still give high performance every time.”

The 2025 PRS is currently ongoing and Camacho, with his trusty D-Max, is once again in the lead. It looks like the duo is on their way to a three-peat.
