The 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Philippine Cup has come to a close after its final weekend featured three thrilling races—ultimately securing the winning points for this year’s champions.

This season also shaped up to be a historic one, as the all-new Toyota Tamaraw took to the track in the inaugural Tamaraw Sprint Race Exhibition. Former Vios Cup champions pushed the new Tamaraw to its limits, completing laps around the Clark International Speedway as fast as 2min and 30sec. It even finished faster than a GR 86 during a drag race. We’re deeply looking forward to seeing the Tamaraw at next season’s TGR PH Cup.

The weekend also kicked off the 2025 TGR Philippines eSports GT Championship, where sim racers battle it out on the digital track throughout the rest of the year. In between the competitions, there were several more exhibition and drag races that celebrated Toyota’s track heritage and community.

In the Novice Class, the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Novice Team cleaned house, with Luis Moreno, Toyota Motor Philippines president Masando Hashimoto, and John Rey San Diego completing the podium at first, second, and third. Hashimoto also won his first endurance race that same weekend—a strong comeback after he sustained a nasty crash in the previous race weekend.

Jesse Garcia from Obengers Racing-Toyota Balintawak claimed the top spot in the Sporting Class, while Russell Reyes of Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines came in second. R Racing-Toyota Dagupan Group-MADKart’s Raymond Cudala then rounded out the podium.

Finally, Russel Cabrera would be the pride of Team Toyota Cebu-Standard Insurance as he would stand in first place in the Super Sporting Class. Alain Gabriel Alonza of Toyota General Santos-Motul Infiniteserv Racing finished in second, with Michael Bryan Co of R Racing-Toyota Dagupan Group-MADKart finishing in third.

Congratulations to this year’s winners.
