When was the last time you heard of an automotive brand hosting a street race here in the Philippines? You don’t even remember anymore? Neither do we. Not that it matters, because there’s a new one coming up, and it’s courtesy of Toyota Motor Philippines.
Executives of the brand recently floated the idea of holding street races during one of the succeeding legs of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup, and now it’s finally happening. Leg 2 will be held at a street racing circuit in Villar City, Cavite on May 24 to 25.

According to the TGR Philippines Facebook post, there will be Sprint and Drag Races as well as a driving exhibition on that weekend in May. There’ll also be a ‘Toyota Car Meet,’ and event-goers can also enjoy the test drives available.
As with all the other race weekends before, admission is free for this. We’re stoked to see what TMP and TGR Philippines has in store for us. There’s only one month to go—will we be seeing you guys there?
