The 2024 Toyota GR Philippine Cup ended in exciting fashion with F4 driver Iñigo Anton taking the top spot in the Super Sporting Class podium.
Racers ran a total of three races, with two sprint competitions and an arduous 90-minute endurance race to cap off the third and final weekend. In between races, fans were able to witness and even hop inside drifting cars while The Juans took the stage and performed an energizing set.

These concluding runs were also the racers’ last chance to secure points and climb up the overall leaderboards. At the end of the weekend, the podiums filled up with the top racers who were able to consistently stay on top throughout the 2024 Philippine Cup.
In the Novice Class, sim-racer turned trackstar Russel Reyes led his team’s dominance by claiming the top podium spot. His Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines teammates, Jamil Lacuna and John Rey San Diego followed close behind in second and third, respectively.
Bong Garbes from Team Inbox-Toyota San Fernando drove through and around a collision to stay on top of the Promotional Class. Julia Delos Angeles from the Toyota San Jose Del Monte-Obengers Racing Team took the silver podium spot and Rex Abrenilla from Toyota Team Cebu took bronze.


Racing fans in GenSan are due for celebration as Alain Alzona from the Toyota General Santos-Chooks-To-Go-Racing Team took the number one spot in the Sporting Class. Jesse Garcia from the Toyota North EDSA/Otis-Obengers Racing Team will be celebrating a second-place finish while Paolo Ayo will be sharing his third-place victory with his Paolo’s Cakes and Pastries-Edgesport Racing Team.
The Super Sporting Class raced wheel-to-wheel but Iñigo Anton from the Toyota Balintawak-Obengers Racing Team skillfully took the crown. Toyota Team Cebu’s Russel Cabrera actually led for most race, but finished in a close second. Rounding out the podium is Maila Alivia from Team JBT Racing/Toyota Isabela.
Calling the 2024 TGR Philippine Cup, ‘thrilling’ would be an understatement, and we simply cannot wait for the 2025 races to start.
