Toyota Vios and Toyota Innova

Toyota Motor Philippines hopes to sustain its 2009 sales momentum this year by aggressively promoting locally-manufactured models: the Toyota Vios and the Toyota Innova.

Toyota Philippines also hopes to make its products more affordable to potential buyers through Toyota Financial Services' (TFS) various financing schemes.

"We forecast the market will further grow if the positive trend continues. As far as Toyota is concerned, we will target to break another record in 2010 and hopefully surpass last year's sales," Toyota Philippines executive vice president

Toyota Philippines continued to dominate the local automotive industry in 2009 as it sold 46,193 units representing a 35 percent market share. It led in both the passenger car and commercial vehicle segments with sales reaching 17,237 and 28,956, respectively.

Helping make up those numbers are the Toyota Vios, which sold 11,990 units; and the Toyota Innova, 10,328 units.

Toyota Philippines is also counting on its latest products to drive 2010 sales. The company recently unveiled the Toyota Innova Sport Runner. The rest of the new product introductions will be revealed when Toyota has finalized the rest of its lineup for 2010.
