Toyota Motor Philippines has come up with three new variants of the Vios subcompact sedan that would only strengthen the Japanese carmaker's grip on the distinction of making the country's best-selling vehicle.
"Following the success of the Vios's all-time high sales in July, the addition of these three new variants is aimed to strengthen Toyota’s lead in the passenger-car segment," TMP said in a statement.
The first of the new variants is the 1.5-liter Vios TRD, which, which--to fit the sporty theme afforded by its Toyota Racing Development branding--gets 17-inch alloy wheels, a muffler cutter, a rear lip spoiler, side skirts, and a special 'TRD' badge. Priced at P865,000, the Vios TRD is available in Gray Metallic, White Pearl, Xtreme Black or Cosmo Red.
The second new Vios variant is the 1.3-liter G with manual transmission that comes with the fog lamps and the 15-inch alloy wheels of the 1.5-liter G models, and is priced at P708,000.
And then there's the 1.3-liter J variant that has been upgraded with fog lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, and a special "limited" badge. It sells for P627,000.
