Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. has already serviced more than three million vehicles affected by the series of three recalls which started late last year.

Toyota USA broke down the figures and the type of recall it serviced as such:

- 1.6 million vehicles to address the sticking accelerator pedals issue

- 1.5 million vehicles to remedy the issue of accelerator pedals being trapped in an open throttle position by the floor mat

- and 115,00 vehicles to update the anti-lock brake system (ABS) program of some 2010 Toyota Prius and Lexus models.

Toyota still needs to work on roughly 30 percent of the 2.3 million vehicles affected by the sticking accelerator pedal issue, 25 percent of the 147,500 units in need of the ABS program update, and 73 percent of the 5.4 million vehicles with the floor mat entrapment problem.

"Toyota and Lexus dealers continue to make significant progress in servicing customers' recalled vehicles as quickly and conveniently as possible, and we appreciate their extraordinary efforts," said Steve St. Angelo, Toyota Chief Quality Officer for North America.  "Over the past three months, Toyota has delivered on its commitment to listen to the voices of customers more intently and respond more swiftly and effectively to their needs.  Above all, we want to thank our customers for their patience as we implement the recall remedies, and we won't let them down."
