No, the EDSA rehabilitation project isn’t pushing through as of this writing—and neither will the odd-even scheme or the traffic-doomsday plans that motorists have concocted to survive what could have been.
What did push through is the reimplementation of the no-contact apprehension program, so at least one portion of this podcast—recorded before the suspension of the EDSA rebuild was announced—hasn’t gone stale.

Carlo talked about his experience from that meeting, while Anton and Leandre got into dissecting the policies that would have been implemented had the EDSA rehabilitation pushed through.
This could be a discussion we’ll have again sooner or later, if the plan to overhaul EDSA is revived. Or it could be just one of those proposals that gets endlessly debated but ends up shelved—nothing we haven’t seen before, right? We’d bet on one thing: If your vehicle plate ends with 3 or 7, you’re most likely relieved that the odd-even scheme has been indefinitely put on hold.
