Not content with building ultra-rare hypercars, Bugatti has now decided to team up with little-known German sportswear brand adidas to create some rare football boots. We promise we’re not making this up.
Called the adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti, they’re based on the standard X Crazyfast boots, and we’d imagine Ferrari is now frantically looking for a new name for its 812 Superfast successor.
The Bugatti boots are apparently “engineered for speed” with a carbon-fiber inlay and adidas’s ‘Speedframe’ sole plate that’s lightweight but rigid to allow for rapid acceleration. And actually, you probably will be able to run faster than a Chiron in these things—most of those max out at around 30kph within city confines, anyway.

The material used on most of the boot’s upper is a recognizable Bugatti blue that’s apparently inspired by the color of early Bugatti racing cars, while there are plenty of Bugatti badges to prove these are a special edition. Two company slogans are printed on the side, too: “Impossible is Nothing” for adidas and “Create the Incomparable” for Bugatti.
We’re told the boots will also come in a unique box with a design “inspired by weaves of carbon fiber.” Sadly, by the sounds of it, they won’t often come out of those boxes, because Bugatti says that they will “remain rare and sought after by devoted collectors for years to come.”
Just 99 pairs will be available with the boots being auctioned via something called the adidas Collect Web 3 platform between November 8 to 11. Oh, and they’ll be worn on pitch by Rafael Leao and Karim Benzema in November. Wonder if those two already have the Chirons to match the boots?
