As an actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger has walked away from bullets, explosions, lasers, and, well, just about anything else you can think of that would turn normal humans into a smoldering pile of ashes. This is one battle, though, that the Terminator knows he can’t face without help.
The retired action star recently took to social media to share that he’s been vaccinated for COVID-19. Smart decision, especially considering the 73-year-old is considered a high-risk individual because of his age.
Drive-thru vaccination
By the looks of it, Schwarzenegger had to wait in line like everyone else despite his celebrity status. Thankfully, the whole process was kept safe and convenient because all he had to do was sit inside his car and wait for his turn. Watch:
“Alright, I just got my vaccine, and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone,” he says in a video uploaded to his official Facebook page. “Come with me if you want to live.”
Damn. Last we checked, there’s no time-traveling shapeshifting assassin chasing us in a freight truck. Still, we think the line still applies. For those of you unfamiliar with the line, it’s a reference to Arnie’s role as the Terminator in Terminator 2: Judgement Day—arguably the greatest action film of the ’90s.
Could a drive-through vaccination setup be viable in the Philippines? It depends on which vaccines become available, and how local governments handle its distribution. Remember: Some vaccines need to be stored in temperatures as low as -70°C. Let’s see how authorities go about handling this.
