Did you know that, aside from being the Buwan ng Wika and Ghost Month, August is also History Month? If you’re feel like celebrating this but want to ditch the usual museum hopping in favor of something a little more adventurous, you might consider going on a limited-time-only guided bike tour of Intramuros and Binondo—the oldest Chinatown in the world.
The Intramuros-Binondo Bike Tour is a limited-time offer collaboration between Bambike Ecotours and Chinatown Museum. Happening on all Sundays of August, the tour will feature the cultural heritage of the Chinese in Manila by visiting key locations with significance to Chinese and Chinese-Filipino history.

How much will it cost?

Tours are usually done in small groups of five to 10 people. This bike tour costs P1,799 per person with an option to arrange the tour as a private group for P3,000. The cost includes all entrance fees, local ice cream, and cold towels to be given at the end of the tour.
What can you expect from the Intramuros-Binondo Bike Tour?
The adventure starts at 9:30am at the Bambike Headquarters in Intramuros, with stopovers at Puerta del Parian, the new Binondo-Intramuros Bridge, Plaza Cervantes, Jones Bridge/Plaza Moraga, Escolta/Burke Street, and Binondo Church and Plaza. There will also be a Chinatown Walk and a tour of the Chinatown Museum before returning to the Bambike Headquarters. The tour takes approximately two hours and 30 minutes with a total biking distance of 8.5km.

Note that this tour will require biking in areas with moderate traffic and somewhat busy streets. Also, there will be no alternative modes of transportation for those who can’t bike—so make sure you can confidently bike before booking this.
