Apart from their car-detailing prowess, the guys at Ammo NYC are starting to gain popularity for their rare barn finds.
What these guys have now found is a 1974 Bricklin SV-1. Just to give you a bit of background, the SV-1 is a two-seat sports car built from 1974 to 1975 by Canadian automotive manufacturer Bricklin. Through its short production run, there were supposedly a few thousand cars built.
The SV-1 that Ammo NYC is working on is chassis number 333. The car was left in a barn unmoved for 21 years, with the gullwing door propped open. Throughout that period, bird and rat feces as well as nests accumulated within the cabin.
Larry of Ammo NYC was able to remove four mouse nests in total, and all the carpets that were drenched in mouse urine were removed. “The smell was horrible. A full interior detail was completed by removing the urine-covered carpets. No sense in shampooing gross carpets that were disintegrating as I scrubbed with carpet cleaners,” he says in the video description.
This is arguably one of the most disgusting detailing jobs we’ve seen from these guys, and it reminds us a lot of that rat-infested Subie. The only difference is that this SV-1 is quite the unicorn, which makes this particular job extra special.
