Drive to Survive—the behind-the-scenes documentary credited with exploding interest in F1, most notably in the US of A—returns for a fifth season, with new episodes dropping on Netflix on 24 February.
That’s just over a week before the 2023 season gets underway in Bahrain… should be just enough time for most of us to binge through it all, right?

As you’ll see from the teaser trailer below, there’s much to look forward to: most notably world champion Max Verstappen features again after his headline-grabbing boycott over ‘faked rivalries’ meant he wasn’t interviewed at all for Season 4.
We’re yet to learn exactly what Netflix will cover in Season 5, but with last year’s massive regulations change and several shocks throughout the campaign, no doubt there’ll be lots of juicy insights along the way.
Now excuse us while we clear our diary for the last week of February…
